2010 ROYAL CHILDRENS HOSPITAL GOOD FRIDAY APPEAL

In Abracadabra's 15th year in assisting with the Good Friday appeal, it was once again another success. We had all hands on deck when it came to decorating Etihad Stadium, the base for the appeal also in decorating the hospital as well. We even took little Elyse along the newest addition to the ABRACADABRA family, which also made assisting with the appeal all that extra special this year. We stuck with the usual bright colourful theme, with various types of animal supershapes scattered throughout all areas. The rooms looked amazing and we have had fantastic feedback from people who had seen the work on the channel 7 networks airing of the appeal. I would like to give special thanks to my wife Linda, mother Dawn, aunty Betty, Georgia Bailey, Sarah Hines and Fler Huggard who had all put in alot of time at ridiculous hours to help with this fantastic cause. Abracadabra will be back on board in 2011 with a bigger brighter and more spectacular new look.

Mika concert @ Sydneys Enmore theatre 24/11/09

Sydneys enmore theatre played host to Mika!

Abracadabra flew down to Sydney for the Mika concert held @ The Enmore theatre on the 24/11/09.

Abracadabra transformed the theatre to look out of this world.

We hung large 3 ft balloons around the entire theatre, creating a look of planets up above.

Up on stage we suspended various sized circles all dapled with uv paint to create an amazing cosmic like look.

All combined the theatre looked amazing.

To finish things off we had two of our monster remote fired bazooka cannons filled with white flutter fetti shoot over the entire stage, cascading down over Mika!

ABRACADABRA does 20,000 Balloon Drop for Andre Rieu concert

Andre Rieu arrived in Melbourne planning a grand concert for his many thousands of fans at the Telstra Dome. He shipped accross his giant castle stage, large water fountains which were placed in the venue, even had a horse and carriage going around the crowd. So when planning to do a 20,000 balloon drop over two nights they decided to come to ABRACADABRA! It was a massive effort by the entire ABRACADABRA crew as we only had hours to have everything complete. On the night as the balloons came down, the telstra dome was a buzz with people jumping hitting the balloons around. It was an amazing sight.
